Parent/Family Letter

If you would like to help bring more families into our Character Ed./Bucket Filling program, please try this idea: Send/E-mail this letter home to them asking them to report back Random Acts of Kindness they see their children taking part in at home and in the community.

Additional Ideas for Teachers:

  • Create Kindness Coupons for your classrooms and when you see students performing the Kindness Challenge each day, give them this coupon for a special reward or tie into your own classroom behavior system.

  • Communicate with your student’s families: asking them to share RAK seen at home with you using attached form or through e-mail. The students whose parents share these RAK during February with teachers will receive bonus tickets in their classroom buckets. (Thanks Mr. Miller)

  • Have students create an alphabetical list of easy Kindness Activities together.

    • For instance:
      • A: I pet a friendly Animal.
      • B: I Brought my laundry to the washroom.
      • C: I helped a person Carry something.
  • Teachers share names with Ron on RAK week as they witness during the day that can then be read over the morning announcements. (E-mail) These notes displayed below can also be displayed on the Kindness Wall by the Character Trait of the Month.

  • Write letters or create cards as a class that can be given to Elderly residents living Oak Leaf Manor Personal Care Community in Landisville.
